Super lochai
Old mate with the widow maker hung up down the bottom of the block, must have been glad to walk away ... :-)
Bought one of these machines 3 years ago. At the time it was a scary purchase as i didnt know if id have the work it required or was able to handle. I put it to work and the first few months were quite slow. Then managed to get a contract for it doing fire breaks. Within time i had too much work for it and had to employ 3 operators based on a 24/7 operation. Shes clocked over 21,000 hours now and have since added 3 more to help with the work loads. Shes been a very reliable machine. Engine is still original. We have serviced the machine every 150 hours since new and grease and fluids are checked daily. The engine has started to use about a litre of engine oil between services but shes still running well. With the closed in cab we are able to operate 24/7 in sun rain and snow
Lifting that will be like bars of soap in the shower, I dont have enough straps for that!!!
Nice machine.
Very nice. 👍
Nice. 👍
👍👍👍
I think they can do a lot more than 4ha/day?
Watching the John Deere 1470G effortlessly cut through mature spruce in Scotland is a striking demonstration of precision forestry at its best

Great Video, I have videoed logging operations using excavator mounted winches and anchors, it's very impressive, thanks for sharing
Thank you for your great feedback Tony, I will get some more posted soon.
The absence of noise pollution is a winner. Esp for people in residential areas. Would also let me start at 6am which wouldn’t be an option with a gas saw if there are people living close to the place you’re working
Impressive machine and operator skill... and enjoyable to watch!!👍
Thanks 👍
Das geht doch relativ zügig.
Danke
That's an impressive bit of kit👌🏻
remember when the whole idea of cable yarding was to keep machines off steep ground to prevent erosion, Pepperidge Farms remembers... also, leaving the slash behind aslo reduces erosion, so I'm not real sure wtf ya'll are up too
Totally agree - Slash on the hill filters, deviates, decreases intensity of waterflow, but not that a greenie would agree with common sense
@@lancehare8361 I my be a logger, but I do care about the environment.
👍👍👍
600 Kg battery for 30 mins work ! ! 😂😂😂😂 This is NOT saving the planet we all live on or any CO2.
Very cool forest machin 😋👍😘 love it❤ suuper!!
Good idea.
Nice video keep it up ❤️❤️❤️
Nice. 😊👍
Cool 🙂👍
I'd rather have a komatsu 164 head
How can I contact you?
Nice thank you for the video. 👍
Dude needs to learn how to tune a saw. That was painful.
Only one problem, you need some stakes on that so you can put more than an arm load. This machine should be able to hold roughly a cord and a half looking at the size of the bunk, but now ya only have about 1/3 of a cord at best maybe 1/4, some decent stakes and you're uping production by about 5-6×, but it's a dandy little machine.
How many logs do you want to carry? Plus, I'm pretty sure this is an advertisement video, not a torture test. I bet the machine will hold more logs if required.
That's a cute little outfit
I'm blown away by how fast that saw is... amazing
Is a fast powerful saw, to bad the battery even the AP500 is not up to the saw. 15 minutes in full power in a log about 80% of the blade and I am out of battery. And on top of that the battery got hot and then it takes the charger 500 about 20 minutes just to cool off the battery so it can start charging back again. The saw it self is great hope Stihl comes with a better battery.
What bar length are you using? I just order one MSA 300 mine suppose come with 40com.
Where can I find more info about the build?
Is cute
Powerfull but short runtime 🤷♂️
You are right i just got my MSA300 2 weeks ago, yes in full power it works great and is fast just even the AP500 battery don't last long.
I'm from Brazil, stop by the amarildo gobes channel to meet, I work in the forestry branch too
It sounds like shit. 💩👎
For those of us who would love to hear the sound of 254's and 242's screaming through the frigid winter air of the good old days... That was an emotive sound from the glory years. Electric sound, nah!
I tink the same way before but i buy the 220C and i end ap buying the 161T, after you got used to silence you not want gas power anymore, now i buy the 135 trimmer also works wonderful
Yeah but with electric you won't come home with a sore throat, smelling like exhaust, and having the taste of exhaust in your mouth that is something I will never miss when electric saws get more serious.
In terms of usability, its all about what it does, not how it sounds. And from a noise pollution perspective its worth remembering that not everyone living around a work area want’s to be hassle of being disturbed by the noise of chainsaws. And lower noise levels also lets you work without having to wear ear protection with the added benefit of not breathing in the fumes for hours on end so its a win win and also lets you start work earlier, and finish later than would otherwise be possible in residential areas
@@miniatures1 in fairness, the MSA 300 is already just as powerful and as capable as most gas chainsaws and you don’t pull your shoulder out trying to start it!
It s working good. But the noise specific to the chainsaw is missing 😁😁. All The best
Good work 🍻
Kova kitinä kuuluu ihan kuin rasvan puute

Saves a lot of time, I bet.
Y'all are shitty fallers that tree had a good back lean and wasn't an easy hit some wedges. These mechanical wedges are awesome you idiots! Good job sir! And thanks for the video!
Nice work! - Falcon Steep-slope Forestry Equipment: ruclips.net/channel/UC8O7kYj56lvZ-UqKXq6tEeg
How much this?
That would lick the socks off a 688.
I would love to have one of these with the harvester head!
who wants to carry all that weight in the woods when a few plastic wedges do the same job
sometimes, but rarely is a life saver, happened on trees that were leaning on their back, 4 wedges stuck, without the impact wedge we wouldn't even moved the tree by an inch
Yes its a Little bit heavier Than am axe and few plastic wedges. But you are more productive you can cut down much more trees in an hour. You only press the trigger of the driver and the tree falls! and sorry when you think this wedge is to heavy you probly shouldnt work in the forest😉
